Our parent dogs and puppies enjoy Treat/food puzzles and interactive feeders like treat dispensing toys and balls, snuffle mats, lick mats and scent games and more.

Our parent dogs and puppies grow their oral and instinctual stimulation and development by providing a variety of toys made of various materials and textures and also being squeaky, crunchy, chewable, fluffy and soft.

Our parent dogs and puppies benefit from agility development by playing in our various playgrounds including tunnels, walk boards, play houses, seesaws, toys, wobble boards, jumps and more.

Our parent dogs and puppies are never bored.

Dogs and puppies love people, we provide lots of human interaction, this is very important. Social enrichment activities help our parent dogs and puppies develop and maintain good relationships.

We live with our parent dogs and puppies.

This enables us to enrich and desensitise them to the usual sounds inside and outside a home by providing exposure to music, vacuuming and sounds of lawnmowing and the general interactions of a home, these enrichment experiences prepares our puppies and eases their transition in to their new homes.

Sensory enrichment is like a big adventure for parent our dogs and puppies. We encourage any activities that include anything that stimulate a dog’s senses, like sniffing new smells, exploring new places and feeling different textures.

ENS - Early Neurological Stimulation is a process that introduces mild healthy stresses to young

puppies.

Our process involves providing 5 forms of stimulation exercises to puppies aged 3-16 days. These 5 forms of stimulation exercises benefit puppies development in:

Improved heart rate

Better stress tolerance

Greater resistance to diseases

Stronger adrenal glands

ESI - Early Scent Introduction is our process of introducing a new scent each day to puppies, starting on day 3 and ending on day 16. Scent abilities are very important, this process provides the potential

for even better companion dogs, service dogs and therapy dogs.

We start toilet training our puppies at just 4 weeks old.

At Teddy Bear Cavoodles we have a specially built grooming room for bathing and grooming our parent dogs and puppies.

All our parent dogs and puppies receive a routine heat regulated hydro-bath and blow-dry. We only use quality canine shampoos and conditioners as well as quality grooming products and equipment.

Our parent dogs and puppies are kept clean and well groomed.

Our parent dog’s and puppy’s environments are kept clean, hygienic and pest free. Regular cleaning and maintenance of our property is essential for promoting the health and safety of our pets.

The regular cleaning of our parent dog’s and puppy’s environments are conducted by hand as well as by specialised commercial mechanical equipment.

Regular routines for scooping and removing pet waste.

Regular routines for cleaning water bowls and food bowls, sweeping and removing debris, washing and replacing toys and bedding.

Our external grounds and playgrounds have synthetic grass installed providing a hygienic and healthy living environment for our parent dogs and puppies.

Our parent dogs and puppies are kept free from parasites.

Our parent dogs are on Drontal as a preventative treatment for intestinal worms and a monthly flea, tick and heartworm preventative.

Our puppies are wormed with Drontal every 2 weeks from 2 weeks old.

All our parent dogs are DNA tested for hereditary genetic diseases to best ensure that our puppies will not be affected by diseases associated with the breed.

We have also DNA tested our stud Louie for the furnishing gene, he carries two copies of the furnishing gene.

This means that all of Louie’s offspring are furnished.

All our parent dogs are fed Royal Canin dry food and wet food as well as raw meaty bones to help with teeth hygiene.

All treats that are given contain no artificial colours or flavours and no preservatives.

All our parent dogs receive regular health & heart checks by our veterinarian.

All our parent dogs are up to date with vaccinations, receiving the C7 Vaccination yearly.

There are 3 different vaccinations to choose from: C3 or C5 or C7.

• C3 vaccination - offers protection against canine parvovirus, canine distemper and canine hepatitis.

• C5 vaccination - is the C3 + kennel cough vaccine (bordetella bronchiseptica and parainfluenza)

• C7 vaccination - offers protection from all the above and also canine coronavirus and leptospirosis.

We use the C7 Vaccination yearly on our parent dogs.

Between 6-7 weeks old Teddy Bear Cavoodle puppies will be taken for their first vet visit.

Puppies will have a thorough health check, receive their 1st vaccination and be microchipped.

This is their very first time traveling in a vehicle and being away from home. Mum also comes along for the ride and also receives a physical examination.
